Wow! It has been a BUSY holiday season for me. I loved getting to see so many cuties for my Christmas mini sessions! Here are some of my favorites:
Oh. My. Goodness. Braxton was seriously the best baby I've ever photographed. I don't think he cried once during our 2 hour studio session. He did poop on my blanket, but that's to be expected and I won't hold it against him :)
His mom signed up for the model session I advertised and brought him in when he was 10 days old. I wanted a new baby to use as advertising for something I'm really excited about - the midwife I had when my daughter was born is moving to home births and opening a new office in downtown Naperville. I asked her if she'd be interested in hanging some adorable baby pictures in her new office and she said yes! And then I ended up with this totally adorable perfect baby and I couldn't be happier.
I was excited to use this new wood floor backdrop and the cute little bucket I put him in :) And since we couldn't really use fancy headbands on this boy, we got a good excuse to bust out the bow ties! And of course I can't help myself but do some basic newborn poses on a simple neutral blanket - it's kinda my thing ;)
Congratulations, T family! You're new bundle of joy couldn't be sweeter!
Wow! Adeline is already one! I'm always amazed at how quickly my little friends grow.
Sweet Adeline and her parents came by the studio for some fun. We started outside (again - SO lucky to have a nice spot behind my house!) to get some updated family pictures and a couple shots of Adeline in all that green grass. I'm loving my new lens that allows me to get those beautiful creamy backgrounds outside!
Then we made our way back inside for some studio portraits. Adeline's mom had sent pictures of her outfits beforehand, so I was able to decorate the studio around this adorable dress. Shopping for girl stuff is so much fun!
Her mom made her this adorable cake (she had a Wizard of Oz party) and we told her to have at it. She wasn't entirely sure what to do, but I think the cake smash was a success!
Happy Birthday, Adeline!
What a cutie! I had such a fun time with little Rory at her 9 month milestone session. She and her family came to my home for some studio pictures and we were lucky to have a nice day, so we went outside for some family photos.
I've been itching to do a session with this white wood backdrop and the lilacs with my bowl prop and Rory didn't disappoint! Surprisingly, she just sat in that bowl the whole time without trying to escape! Her parents brought her personalized little stool and a bunch of books to use as props, too. I love stuff like that, it's such a good way to customize a session.
I love that I have this cute little spot behind my house that we were able to use! Plus I got to use my new lens (70-200 2.8 if you're interested) and I just LOVE the results.
I'm looking forward to seeing Rory again for her birthday pictures in a few months :)
It feels like yesterday I was bouncing this baby so her Mommy could eat at a 4th of July party and now look at her! ONE! I love getting to see so many little babes grow up, it's an incredible perk of the job. And seeing how her big sister Annabelle loves taking care of her is just the sweetest. Happy Birthday, Evie!
I got to meet this adorable baby girl this weekend! She is all about cheeks and look at that hair! Six months is one of my favorite ages to photograph because they're usually super chunky like this. We had fun!
So OBVIOUSLY I had to get my little girl in the studio for Easter pictures! And, as per usual, she was amazing. She loves going to the "picture room", whether it's to have her own session or to help get babies to smile. I love having her as my assistant, but I love photographing her even more!
Oh, and a little update: I'll be doing MORE Easter mini sessions on Wednesday, April 12th at the Fit4Mom's Easter event at the Naperville Church of Christ on 75th. Maybe I'll see you there?
I loved having this little cutie in the studio! She's almost 4 months old now and was a little hesitant at first, but luckily I have an adorable 2 year old for an assistant and she helped to make Jenny happy for her pictures. I still have more openings for Easter mini sessions on April 2nd in my home studio in Aurora!
My, how these girls have grown! I met Ella when she was preparing to be a big sister and she has really grown into her role. Miss Grace was a little nervous (I guess she doesn't remember me from her newborn session!) and Ella was such a good helper with her little sister. I think we got some adorable pictures from their Easter mini session!
Wow, I am so impressed with Elena and Jose! Having them in the studio was so much fun; we were able to get so many pictures in such a short amount of time! We've always done outdoor photo sessions before, so I thought I'd try something a little different for their 6th and 3rd birthday pictures and it paid off :)
What a beautiful family! This little boy is SO lucky to have such a great brother and sister that are already so in love with him. I could not have asked for a better family to photograph. Brother and sister were so cooperative and loved holding baby Trevor and talking to him. And for a newborn, he was a fantastic model - he slept the whole time!
Busy, busy! The twins' first birthday and Easter! Would you look at these outfits! SO adorable. Dean and Logan were full of smiles as always, and the girls were all over the place! Easter eggs and birthday balloons are a lot of fun when you're one. We are all looking forward to doing a session outside soon!
This little lady has a knack for taking pictures! Which works out pretty well for me, because I get to test out session ideas on her. She makes a great model!
Boy, did we have a blast with these Valentine's Day photos! It's so much fun to do a themed session, especially with these kids!
Can you say gorgeous?! Juniper's newborn session was a blast. She was 10 days old, so we were able to get her asleep for these great scrunchy poses. What a doll!
